Vacancy board members 2019-2020

Vacancy board members 2019-2020

The current academic year seems to last for some time, but the new academic year is getting closer. This means that SV Salio is looking for three talents who will be managing the study council next academic year.
An executive position within SV Salio is part-time and lasts for one year. As a board member of SV Salio you will get the opportunity to gain board experience in addition to your studies, taking responsibility in a professional context and contacts. All this takes shape within our cozy and close study association for Saxion Top Talent. Of course there is a fee for all hard work. The board has the following vacancies:

Chairman/woman
The chairman represents the association both internally and externally. You (together with the other board members) are responsible for the elaboration and promotion of the broad lines along which SV Salio will develop. In addition, you'll create and maintain an atmosphere in which members of the management and the committees of SV Salio can function optimally. Concrete tasks are maintaining contacts with the Saxion Top Talent and other study associations, chairing board meetings and general member meetings and keeping an overview of the activities of SV Salio.

Secretary
The secretary is the contact person within the association. You are responsible for keeping track of all correspondence, for the promotion of SV Salio and for the social activities. Concrete tasks include keeping track of the member base, sending out member emails, sending out invitations to new members, taking notes at meetings and keeping track of applications for all activities.

Treasurer
The treasurer is responsible for the financial state of affairs within the association. Concrete tasks include drawing up and maintaining the budget, making payments and managing the financial administration of the association.

Do you want to be part of the board of SV Salio next year? Send an e-mail with a motivation letter and resume to info@svsalio.nl no later than 1 May 2019, stating 'Application board SV Salio'. We ask you to indicate which functions you prefer (first and second choice). You can also put together a board yourself. Make sure you send the application with all board members (at least three) at the same time. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to send them to info@svsalio.nl.

We look forward to your application with great interest!

Do your Honors assignment with Stichting Move!

Do your Honors assignment with Stichting Move!

Are you entrepreneurial?Do you want to develop your talents, expand your network and work on your resume? Do you like working with children? Then a Move-project might be something for you!

With Stichting Move you will set up a project with children from a primary school (ages 10 to 13) in a disadvantaged neighbourhood in Enschede. Within 4 to 6 months, you will help these children create and organize something positive for their own neighbourhood. For example, a dinner show for the elderly or a graffiti artwork! In addition, by organizing an active outing for the children, you will give them a glimpse into the life of a student. For example, by visiting the academy or a student house.

During a Move-project, you will learn how to motivate and activate your environment to achieve something together and you will gain experience in project management. You will search for opportunities to realize the children’s idea, during which you will come into contact with various local parties. In addition, you will be trained and coached by a project coordinator from Move who will help you employ your talents.

We are searching for 5 or more students from S.V. Salio who want to participate in a Move-projectfrom the end of September 2018 to February 2019. Participating in a Move-project takes around 2 to 4 hours per week.

New audit committee

A new audit committee has been set up.

As from this quartile, a treasury committee is active within SV Salio. A treasury committee, together with the treasurer, looks at whether the finances have been properly done. This concerns, for example, the accounting, for example, to see if all the receipts are available and whether the contribution has been correctly collected.

Until now, a cash check was not mandatory at SV Salio, but we, as a board, like it very much to have a treasury committee. The audit committee checks whether lawful and efficient work has been carried out, and expresses its opinion on this. As a board, we like to show how we did it and why. In this way we can give optimum accountability for what we do as a board.

Below, the two cash commission members introduce themselves:

Stephan Bastiaans

My name is Stephan Bastiaans, I am 19 years old and I am studying Accountancy and also the HP Creativity in Finance & Management. In my free time I like to play sports, especially football, cycling and darts. Moreover, I am an avid film lover and I follow many sports on TV.

Lasse Klaas

My name is Lasse Klaas, I am 18 years old. I myself am in the HP creativity in Finance and Management. The course I follow is Business Economics (2nd year). In my daily life I am very active in sports, namely: skating, cycling, running and inline skating. I do this about 4-5 times a week. I hope you now have an image of me. I’m looking forward to it anyway.
